Custom Development Assessment
Before a price can be produced on the development of a feature and before we can discuss the best fit into AmeriCommerce and any other 3rd party options you may have, we need to start the development process by performing the Phase 1: Development Assessment & Prequalification step.
There is a $99 fee associated with Phase 1 which is only a cost covering measure to build the specifications/statement of work for the change in the AmeriCommerce system and typically involves up to 3 people's time to judge all affected areas and map out all changes that will be needed. This avoids consuming hours providing difficult and detailed quotes that may not be executed. The provided spec is needed to give you a fixed quote.
If a development does not get executed it is placed in our feature suggestion queue. Each release we pick from this area for the best changes we can find, the ones that offer the most benefit to our customers sales and management mechanisms. There is no timeline for inclusion it could be anywhere from 1 month to 1 year or more depending on effort and impact, but we do take these suggestions seriously.

- Assessment Fee covers 1 hour of spec time, if additional time is required it will be outlined in the prequalification form.
- DELIVERABLE: Statement of work including rough idea of changes to the system, database and files
- DELIVERABLE: Custom Development Prequalification Form Completed (loose range bid)
- Phase 2: Quote Building & Speccing
- This phase covers the changes needed to produce the development
- All changes to the system and database are outlined here as best as possible before work begins
- If necessary, any final adjustments needed will be applied and a fixed bid will be produced
- DELIVERABLE: Custom Development Specification Form Completed (fixed bid)
- Phase 3: Final Approval
- Approval of the fixed bid including all specs, compromises and assumptions.
- Accounting will bill for the work and the development is added to the development queue.
- If you decide to not move forward only the $99 plus any outlined speccing overages from phase 2 are lost.
- Phase 4: Development, Testing & Rollout
- Our team develops, tests the code and then rolls it out to test servers where automated tests begin
- The work is then pushed to production for client testing and final stamp of approval
